POWER-CHILD CAMPUS
In other countries, South Africa is primarily known as a travel destination with an appealing countryside. But apart from the tourist beaches and safari tours, many parts of the country are afflicted with appalling poverty, sparse educational opportunities and a high level of crime.
Poverty and Hopelessness Promotes Violence in Families
The residents of the endless townships in Cape Town frequently lack the most basic necessities of life and have little hope of any improvement in their own lives or the lives of their children. Over the past years this has led to an increase in domestic violence, under which the children suffer the most.
The POWER-CHILD CAMPUS as a Sign of Hope
The campus is intended as a sign of hope for South Africa. We want to use it to pass along the know-how we have acquired and tested in Germany and the varied forms of support we receive to the poorest people in the world. The main focus of this project is the idea of establishing an effective network with the people in the townships for the protection of South African children and adolescents and the strengthening of their families.
